What We Call The Beginning Is Often The End

As if I don’t have enough to do, I decided to put a stake in the ground with respect to my attempt to drop 45 lbs between now and July 1, 2007. My original goal was to drop the same amount of weight by May 23, 2007 but the software I bought today says I’m running a serious risk of over doing my goal by severally limiting my caloric intake of which I agreed. The goal here is not to die, not die faster.

The funniest part about all this is that I’m now a member of the
Knights of the Round Bottoms, although it’s never been my bottom I’ve had the problem with. I’m more like Knights of the Round Tummies, but I didn’t see that blog out there.

My biggest challenge to losing weight is that I travel a lot. As many of you frequent fliers know the road isn’t very kind when it comes to convenient, good and healthy food. Plus, I like my booze, there I said it. Fortunately, being on the road does put some distance between my and my favorite brew –
Stone Brewery: Arrogant Bastard Ale

Mmmm… Arrogant Bastard Ale.

While I won’t be able to write daily, I’ll certainly shoot for a weekly update on what I’ve done and how I’m doing. I’m also going to lean on a few of the KotRBs for ideas, suggestions and support.

Onward and downward!

Welcome to the Knights - I like your title.

My approach has actually been to focus on eating healthily. The side effect of this is the weight loss. The problem with focusing primarily on losing the pounds is that it can lead you into some very unhealthy eating habits that not only damage your body, but screw up your metabolism and increase your chance of putting all the weight back on.

Anyway, best of luck and welcome aboard. I'll add a link to your site from mine (Losing a Hundredweight) and pop by again next week to see how you're doing.

Cheers,

-Sir Man Boobs-

I've added your link to my "Knights" post. I have a friend who like Arrogant Bastard Ale, too. Myself - I'm more of a wine girl.
